Victorian Frame Card – Sizzix Bigz Project

by Richelle Naegle

Here is one of the easiest cards I think I have ever made, and I had a lot of fun, so you can’t beat that! I have made some pretty simple cards in the past, mostly because I just don’t have a lot of extra time (I’m sure you can relate), so when I find a cute card that doesn’t take much time or effort but looks amazing when it’s done, I am all for it!

Victorian Frame Card

For this Sizzix card I used the Victorian Frame Bigz XL Die by one of the great designers, Brenda Walton.

On a side note: I got to meet Brenda at the CHA show in California this year, and she truly makes some beautiful things, and I will definitely use more of her products. I’m a fan : )

Back to business: this card is about 4.25″ x 5.5″ when finished and is super easy to cut out with the Big Shot embosser/die-cutter. The frame part of this card folds back where the opening is so you can insert a picture. Though I just used this cupid figure in my frame, if you plan on giving it to a friend, put a picture of the 2 of you in there. It would make a great, personalized Birthday card and would mean a lot to them. If you want a great paper brand, try American Crafts cardstock.

For my card, I also added a heart, some ribbons, and a little banner. Don’t forget you will also need four brads for this project to hold back the openings (so you can see the picture), and the brads also give the card some dimension.
