Believe it or not, this is my first Flip-its card. I can’t believe I waited so long. As far as I can tell, Sizzix is on top of the craft world right now. For this project, I chose the Scalloped Circle Flip-its card. We don’t currently have it in stock, but we do have the Circle Flip-its Card Framelits set, which is very similar. You really can’t go wrong with any Sizzix Framelits die sets. We also have other brands for card-making dies.
I love Stephanie Barnard’s designs. Her cards are extraordinary. She has new 3-D drop-ins and step-up cards, which are my absolute favorite, though they take some time to make. I don’t have much extra time to craft, and I need something I can do quickly, so a Sizzix Flip-its project was a great choice.
Creating a Ladybug Card
It only took me about 20 minutes to make this card, which is how long a normal layered card takes me.
I got creative and used white Sizzix leather for the top and scalloped circle layer (we have all kinds of leathercraft material). Cutting it out with the Big Shot machine made it quick and easy. I had to dig deep into my stash to find an old Framelits w/ Stamps set by Stephanie Barnard to get this fun Ladybug shape and stamp (and also the stamped thanks). I think these elements helped make this card come together quite nicely!
Do you have some Flip-its card projects that you have created? I would love to see them. Share them with me on our Paper Crafting Fanatics page on Google+ or Facebook! I can’t wait to see what you have created. We have one of the largest selections of Sizzix dies that you will find anywhere online, so save here. Nothing beats a cut and stamped design, so save on all our craft rubber stamps.
Happy creating!
