At CraftDirect.com, we always look for new and fun ways to make art projects easier. We love to help our customers get their creative juices flowing. We are now bringing in popular new club kits to continue this tradition. In case you haven’t heard of them, these fancy paper crafting sets are made from materials by popular brands like Simple Stories. They are designed to give you everything you need to make a specific project, including instructions. For a quick example of Simple Stories Club Kit projects, check out this Christmas album I made:
The underlying idea behind club kits is that they streamline the process and allow you to personalize each project as you see fit (choose your own finishing touches by incorporating whatever scrapbooking supplies you have on hand). Club kits make craft time easier to manage, and you might also learn a new technique or two.
Country Christmas Sn@p! Album Club Kit Project
We are starting with two fun kits from Simple Stories to get you crafting this holiday season. The first one is the Country Christmas Sn@p! Album Club Kit. While this kit will take some time to put together, it’s so worth it! The material is all in the kit, aside from a few basic things such as adhesive, paper trimmer, scissors, and any photos you want to add. Everything else is included in the kit. Here, we have displayed only a few pages I made using the kit.
Say Cheese Halloween Mini Folder Album Club Kit Project
Our second club kit is the Say Cheese Halloween Mini Folder Album! Seriously, this little album was so much fun to make. After I finished, I was thinking about immediately doing another one. The fact that you can make them different every time is a big part of the appeal. It took me about 3 hours to complete (maybe a little less). You only need your basic supplies and some fun ribbon for this kit.
If you don’t want to hand-cut the tags, use your favorite die-cutting machine, the Cricut Maker or Cameo 3. For exclusive deals, try a Cricut Maker bundle option, which offers additional supplies and great overall savings. Or you can try the We R Memory Keepers Tag Punch Board. I did cut mine by hand, and though they aren’t perfect, I don’t think anyone is going to notice.
A Few Helpful Tips for this Project:
If you want to distress the edges, ink them before gluing your folder together. Second, use a really good double-sided adhesive when gluing the pockets and folders together. I used a tape runner, and by the time I finished, some of the pages were already coming apart. I had to go back and re-glue them to keep them together. This kit comes with a couple of sheets of paper and some extra stickers, so if you want to change a layout or add extra embellishments, you could easily change things up and make it your own.
