Don’t panic, but I’m 500 pictures behind on my scrapbooking projects – that’s only about two years’ worth! I just ordered a bunch of new pictures. Whenever I run out of room on my camera, I download and order the photographs. If I don’t order them, I will never remember which photographs I have physical copies of. It’s always good to have them on hand for scrapbook events. That way, you don’t have to pay a higher price to have them developed and shipped quickly.

Making the Gone Fishing Layout

This time around, I let my pictures inspire my scrapbook layout design. Projects made with Silhouette CAMEOs are so much fun! I had fun pictures of my boys fishing with their Grandpa in my lineup. That led me to decide to go with those memories. I remembered seeing these super cute fishing bears in the Silhouette Studio Shop. They are called Gone Fishing Bear Holding Pole and Gone Fishing Bear Holding Fish, and I just used Gone Fishing for the title. You can find them all by searching “gone fishing.” Both bears stand about 5″ tall from their feet to the top of their hats. I put two 4″ x 6″ photo picture slots on the first page and one 5″ x 7″ with three 3″ x 3″ slots on the second page.

This layout took a little work and time, mainly because the two bears have many layers to deal with. The torn paper on the picture frames also took a little work, but I love how it turned out! If you are doing this don’t glue down the whole edging, otherwise, you can’t slip your picture in. Just glue the edges down, I don’t like to glue on top of my pictures, so even if I added the pictures while I was creating, I wouldn’t glue the whole thing down. I really love how this page turned out. These cute bears also come in handy a lot for holiday themes.
