This weekend I have been scrapbooking a lot and making many pages, trying to get caught up on life’s most recent events. Scrapbook pages can take a lot of time, and much of that time is wasted searching for matching cardstock and embellishments. I don’t enjoy spending my time doing this, and that’s why I so often go with Simple Stories Collection Kits! The 12″ x 12″ patterned cardstock sheets and included embellishments already match. Look what I made with the Easter Collection Kit:
The kits include fun element sheets that make adding phrases or a journaling card easy. These kits also work great if you are using plastic photo sleeves; you can simply cut out the phrase and insert it into the pocket! I made all this with my new Silhouette CAMEO 3. If you are wondering what on earth the owl with bunny ears is, I found it in the Silhouette Store called Owl Easter.
Money-saving tip: Purchase our $25 Download Cards for 25% off retail (at the time of this publication, but we are always running discounts on these) and then buy when images are on sale. Double the savings!
Easter Layout Directions
The owl was cut out at about 7.5″ tall, and she was super easy to put together. Sometimes you don’t know just by looking at it on a screen on your computer, so that’s good news. As mentioned, the 12″ x 12″ paper comes from the Collection Kit, but the solid-pattern cardstock elements came from Core’dinations. This is another way to save because they are very inexpensive paper packs, and you will find something that matches your project.
That’s it! This layout was a breeze. Don’t forget, we have a free Easter scrapbook SVG file you can download. After all, the biggest money-saving tip is to get free designs where you can find them. If you have any Easter scrapbook layouts that you’d like to share, please post them on our Facebook page. I would love to see what you have created!
Happy creating!
