CGull Interchangeable Folder Project – Baby Shower

by Richelle Naegle
cards made with CGull Interchangeable embossing foldersI am so excited today. I got to play with some new interchangeable embossing folders from the Craft experts at CGull. If you remember, they came out with a couple about a year ago, and I really loved their innovative embossing potential. You can see my old project with them here. Now with their release of 3 fun, new designs, it’s time for me to do another project. In this case, I am featuring the new baby-themed folder. The other 2 new ones include the Thank You set and the Modern Victorian folder set (this one comes with 5 inserts).

Changing out or arranging the inserts in various ways gives you the potential for original work every time you use these folders in your card-making and layout projects. I love the vibrant colored cardstock and how each card contrasts with one another.

What’s Improved About Them?

The first round of CGull embossing folders are amazing in what they deliver to your projects, but crafters were complaining the inserts and folders are not clearly marked. CGull listens to its customers and made the fix with this generation of folders. Now each insert is clearly marked so you know exactly how to position the phrase you choose. Keep in mind these new folders are 5″ x 7″ and the first round was 4″ x 6″ (A2).

These 3 cards were made in about 20 minutes total! I could have done them quickly if needed, but I had the time, so I added the extra detail. I love how they turned out and now I’m ready for a baby shower. Who’s inviting me?

Have you used any of the other CGull embossing folders? I would love to see them share them with me on Google+ Paper Crafting Fanatics page or on Facebook, or just leave a comment with a link to your blog. Also, as long as we are talking about CGull, check out the amazing CGull totes.

Happy creating!
