4th of July Cricut Cartridge Ideas

Cricut 4th of july layout finished project
It’s that time of year again! Your days will soon be filled with BBQs, picnics, parades, fireworks, and family! So today, to follow that theme, I have created a fun and easy scrapbook layout. As always, I set out to make it detailed without spending too much time on the project. Like many, I take too many pictures to create extravagant scrapbook layouts for every album page. That doesn’t mean they can’t look really nice. So I came up with this layout, and it would be super easy to add a second 12 x 12 page to this layout and have it match.

Creating the Layout

You need the right scrapbook material. The right patterned cardstock will make all the difference. The first thing I did was grab the Freedom paper pack by the artists at Bazzill. This stack has 22 sheets of paper. 12 of them are double-sided printed paper, and the others are bright and bold colors of red and blue with some white. You need to create lots of layouts for the 4th of July.

I used the Phrases Cricut cartridge for the 4th of July (it was cut out at 4.75″) and the Independence Day Cricut cartridge for the Flag banner (cut out at 1.25″) and for the stars. I just used the star basic shape (and cut them out at 1″). The layout includes three 3″ x 5″  photo slots. Consequently, the whole layout takes about 45 min, including the time to design and glue.

Do you have any ideas for the 4th of July Cricut cartridge you have come up with? Lastly, I would love to see them post on our paper crafting fanatics page so we can all be inspired by you this year. Be sure to keep your Explore machine updated with new replacement Cricut blades and fresh cutting mats.

Happy creating!
