I love fall, especially here in southern Utah – the leaves are starting to change colors and the temperatures are starting to cool off. While I was searching Pinterest for a little bit of inspiration, I found a Scarecrow card that I really liked. The fun with scarecrows is that you can do anything with them, because the more patchwork they look, the more authentic they appear! It’s kind of like the ugly sweater contest at Christmas parties.
This is the first time I have used the Simply Scarecrow Cricut cartridge, and I love how this card turned out. Make your projects easier and more precise by updating your machine with a fresh Cricut cutting mat.
So here are the details: the overall size of the card is 5″ x 7″. The scarecrow was cut out at 5.25″. The little leaves are from the 3D Floral Home Decor Cricut cartridge and they are cut out at 0.5″ – 0.75″.
Pro tip: Okay I have to be honest, I stumbled upon this trick because I had my Explore machine on the wrong setting. For the Happy Fall I used my Explore to write it on the fabric setting instead of cutting the phrase out of colored cardstock. The difference in the setting is that it draws the phrase twice, so you get a nice, darker, richer color.
I know this cartridge has been out for a few years, so I’m sure some of you have some fun Simply Scarecrow Cricut cartridge ideas that you have to share, so please do so on our Facebook Page. You should always share your paper crafting projects on social media to inspire others.
Happy creating!
