Are you ready for your kids to be out of school? At my house, that means less time for scrapbooking. Between the warmer weather and kids, I don’t get much time to scrapbook. In the summer, I generally do easy scrapbook layouts. Ones that I can put together in less than an hour so that I can feel accomplished.
Here is my quick school days Cricut scrapbook layout that I made for my Kindergartner, I can place his first day of school on the left and his last day of school on the right and it’s a fun scrapbook layout that I can see how much he has grown during the school year. Now if I can just remember to do one of these every year 🙂
All the paper is from the Bazzill School Day’s paper collection. Buying a great paper collection is also an easy way to save you time and money. With Bazzill paper stacks you get 8 double-sided designs with two sheets of each and then some matching colored cardstock so you can quickly match all your papers without spending hours searching for matching papers.
How to Make the School Days Layout
For this project I used the Cricut Explore Machine, to write the alphabet on the paper. The font is at 107. ” Using a full 12 x 12 sheet of black paper wrote the alphabet using the Condensed Font from the Chalkboard Fonts Cricut cartridge, with the silver marker that came with the Explore Machine. If you don’t have Chalkboard Fonts, you can use any number of Cricut Font cartridges.
For the rest of this layout, I used a 12″ x 9” sheet for the background and two frames for 4″ x 6″ photos. They were cut out at 4.25″ x 6.25″ with a border. You can just add a second frame at 4.5″ x 6.5″. Kindergarten was cut out from Locker Talk Cricut cartridge at 4.5″. The cute worm is from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge at 2.25″.
That’s it! A super easy and quick layout that you could do in under an hour and without getting a lot of supplies out. Do you have some ideas for school days scrapbook layouts? Show me what you’ve made with your favorite Cricut cartridges. I would love to see them, so please share them with me on our Facebook or the Paper Crafting Fanatics Google Page.
