Have you had a chance to look at all the fun decorating projects you can make with the new Four Seasons Home Decor Cricut cartridge? If you haven’t, take a minute and check this cartridge out. It’s an instant classic and has plenty of fun images that you can make into pillows, flowers, wreaths, and don’t forget about the 3D Shadowbox cuts. I actually chose to do a shadow box cut for this project, but I got creative with the application. Then, I framed my final product for a decorative wall-hung solution. I am always looking for something new and creative to make, without spending too much time, so if you’re like me, then you will love this type of cartridge.
Owl Frame Project
For this Cricut project, I selected the owl (if you have followed my blog for very long, you already know that I love owls). This particular image has 5 layers, so 5 cuts, and you could potentially do them all one color (like white or ivory, etc.). So as easy as it was, I just:
- Found 5 complimentary brown colors and did the 5 layers in those various shades.
- Sized the image to a 10 x 10 (to fit my frame) and then hit cut! Too easy, right?
- Stacked the layers together and attached foam squares to the four corners.
- Framed it!
In seriously just a few minutes you can have a beautiful shadow box framed image. Pick up fun frames at garage sales, decorate them with our discount embellishments, and then make an image with this fun cartridge to match the frame. To ensure your project goes off seamlessly, I would recommend you have the quality supplies. The Cricut Explore Air system is amazing and you need to stay updated with Cricut mats and Explore blades.
Let me know what you think about this new cartridge, particularly your favorite images?
