I really love scrapbook albums, and although I have found a love for making cards and other crafts as well, the whole reason I bought my first Cricut was to scrapbook. But sometimes making just a simple layout takes hours, and frankly I probably take too many pictures and have a hard time not including them all into my scrapbook. So a lot of times I am torn between making something really fun and spending a lot of time on a page (or simply just putting some pictures a title and maybe one or two little things here and there). I love the ones that I spend hours on when I see how well they turn out. The awesome thing about Cricut cartridges is you can create amazing layouts in minutes.

Bug Safari Layout
I decided to use two of my all-time favorite Cricut cartridges on this project: When I was a Kid, and this new Family Albums Cricut cartridge. These two go great together and you can make some really innovative design combinations. I came up with this scrapbook layout that I can add some fun elements to without taking hours to come up with a unique design. So for me, these cartridges are a great time saver, which is why I love them – with a little bit of scrapbook paper I can make fun and quick layouts all at the same time.
I love this layout I created. I have a few slots for pictures of my boys that I already took. They are making some cute little bug houses, so as you can see, this is the perfect theme. Don’t forget to save on a new blade for your Explore machine.
I would love to see some of your scrapbook layouts! Share them with me on the Facebook page or on Google+ Paper Crafting Fanatics Page, including any Family Albums Cricut Cartridge ideas that you have.
Happy creating!
