by Richelle NaegleHave you had a chance yet to check out the new Disney Princess Believing in Dreams Cricut cartridge? It’s so awesome, I decided to make some fun scrapbook pages for little girls and I don’t even have girls! My favorite princess on this cartridge is Merida from Brave. I relate to her as I was definitely a tomboy and daring as a kid, always looking for an adventure. When you get to crafting with it, you will find it’s one of the best Cricut cartridges that Provo Craft has ever released.

For this layout, I used the Cricut Explore Air. I have used other Disney Cricut cartridges with the Cricut Expression and the Explore gives you a much better cut for all those tiny little pieces. I have also been using some standard cutting blades that I had and they were ripping the fine details, so I put a German Carbide Premium blade back in the machine and it seriously cut like butter. The regular blades work great in the Explore machine, but the premium blade gives you so much more.

So for the details of this layout, Merida is cut out at 9.5″ tall. Brave is cut out at 3″ in height and then into four 4.25″ x 6.25″ photo squares. The stars are from When I Was a Kid Cricut cartridge at 2.4″ tall. The picture frame paper is from the 12″ x 12″ Autumn Crisp Paper Pad, from our collection of American Crafts cardstock and the world background paper is from the You are Here Collection Kit. 

It’s fun to create something girly for my scrapbook for once! I’m loving coming up with Disney Princess Belieiving in Dreams ideas with this cartridge. It’s inspiring!

So I created this fun layout with Rapunzel from Tangled.She is cut out at 6.25″ tall and Tangled is 2.75″ tall. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add dimension and detail to the Tangled sign, along with some flower embellishments and ribbon. I love how this layout turned out. I think it’s perfect for a little princess!
