Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up Ideas

by Richelle Naegle

For this fun Christmas card, I used the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut cartridge. This great cartridge is definitely a must have! This cartridge features people dressed up for Holidays and other events, such as Halloween, Christmas, in Western wear and so many more, along with a lot of accessories that come with each of them for example with Santa, you can cut out a sleigh, Santa’s bag, A Christmas tree and so much more. If you already have this cartridge and love it as much as I do there are a couple other similar cartridges by Cricut that have people you can cut out and dress up is, Everyday Paper Dolls, and Create a Friend, and Paper Dolls Teen Scene.

Christmas Card Made with Paper Doll Dress Up

Christmas card made with Cricut Paper Doll Dress UpFor this Cricut Christmas card the overall size of the card is 5 x 7 and Santa’s cloths are cutout at 1” using the real dial size (so that everything is one inch high) While you wouldn’t want to use the real dial size if you are using it to dress up people or for an image that has multiple layers, because they won’t fit together properly. But these cute Santa clothes don’t have multiple cardstock layers, it works just fine. Because these images don’t have multiple layers and I wanted then to be red and white, I did have to cut them out twice once for red and once for white and then trimmed them out where the machine cuts the lines in the outfit so that you can layer them. This is an easy way to add extra layers to your cuts if you don’t want them to be just one color, without adding a lot of extra work.

The stars are from our Christmas buttons collections, and they work perfect with the star embossed background. I used the red and green Sew Easy floss for the clothes line. This is a very simple yet fun of a Christmas card.

Paper Doll Dress Up Christmas Tag Idea

cricut type candy cartridge - tag decorationDo you or your kids like counting down until Christmas? It’s right around the corner so liven up the place with this creation or something similar. With this super easy project you can easily count down the days all year long if you wanted.

Using an ordinary kitchen cutting board we painted the whole thing with chalkboard paint. For this project we used the Type Candy cartridge as well as the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.

“Days until” was cut out at 2 inches using the Better with Chocolate font. “Santa” was cut out at 2.61” (we did use the Gypsy to weld the letters together from the taffy script font.

The little Santa hat is from Paper Dolls Dress Up at 0.5” (using the real dial size). I cut this project from Cricut cardstock.

This project is super easy and quick to make you could easily make this as a fun neighborhood gift or family gift!
