Valentine’s Day Layout – Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge Ideas

by Richelle Naegle

The classic Create a Critter has to be by far one of the most popular Cricut cartridges we have ever had and if you have this cartridge, I’m sure you will agree with me that it is a must-have. Who doesn’t love cute little animals?! Today, I decided to make a fun Valentine layout project. I came up with these designs and I think they would look good together or as standalone pages. Both pages are simple to put together and won’t take very much time at all.

The layout pictured on the left has 4 slots for 2.5″ x 2.5″ pictures, so you will need (4) colored cardstock squares cut to 2.75″ and for two of them I put a second background layer, so you would need (2) 3″ x 3″ and then a spot for a 5″ x 7″ photo. I did my frames with the same .25″ border all the way around. You would need one to be 5.25″ x 7.25″ and then a 5.5″ x 7.5″ rectangle. The heart was cut out at 1.75″ and the ladybug at 1.3″. If you are looking for quicker projects, the Cricut Explore Air 2 cuts super fast!

The layout pictured on the right has two photo slots both for a 4″ x 6″ photo with a .25″ border (keep in mind that one of them has a double border). Then the ladybug was cut out at 5.75″ and the postage Love stamp in the corner is at 1.33″.
