Do you like to send out homemade Christmas cards, as your family holiday cards? Well with this great new die cutting and embossing folders from Anna Griffin and your Cuttlebug embossing machine you can quickly and easily die cut out beautiful Christmas cards in no time at all. Keep in mind, we have all the best in Cricut Cuttlebug supplies.
Cuttlebug Card Idea
For this card I used the Anna Griffin Cuttlebug embossing folder, the “Snowflake Bundle” die cut and embossing set, and of course my Cuttlebug machine, as well as the rubber embossing mat, (this is a must if you are using dies). And then whatever paper you want for your image and your card base.
Here is a quick tutorial on how to use the die cut and embossing folders. Use this “sandwich” for die cutting starting from the bottom and working your way to the top
- A Plate
- Rubber Mat
- B Plate
- Die Cutting/Embossing folder smooth side to the B Plate
- Paper of your choice facedown
- B Plate
Then run through your Cuttlebug machine. This will die cut your image.
NOTE: this will leave a little bit of a mark on your B plate that’s OK it will still work just fine.
If you want to add the embossing then you will want to leave your paper attached to the die.
To emboss you will use this “sandwich”
- B Plate A Plate
- Rubber Mat
- Die Cutting/Embossing folder with paper attached to the paper touching the rubber mat.
- B Plate
Helpful Tip: Flip your second “B” plate over so that is “uncurls” the plate a little.
Then run again through your Cuttlebug Machine, and then you can remove your paper. If you have little papers that stick in the die you can use a push pin or paperclip to poke into the little holes of the embossing folder and it will easily remove them.
Then that’s it! With two simple steps, you can quickly die cut and emboss your image quickly to make quick and easy Christmas cards.
