If you make cards with your Explore Air, it’s very likely that you own, or at least have used the Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge. This has got to be one of my favorite Cricut cartridges for making cards. It has so many fun shapes and designs.
Don’t you love this Owl? He was cut out at 5.25″ high, which makes him fit nicely on 12″ Simple Stories paper, because you can get 2 cards out of 1 sheet.
The second card is a Hot Air Balloon and it was cut out at 4.75″. The thing I love about these designs is you can make them for any occasion, throughout the year.
So it’s clear that this cartridge makes adorable cards, but if you’re like me, then you want to get some scrapbooking benefit out of your cartridges. I got creative and used the Wild Card 2 cartridge to make a layout!
I cut out all the layers except the card layer for the Fox. He is cut out at 4.50″ wide and sits about 5″ tall.
The Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge has fun phrases that go with every card, so I took the “You’re A Fox” phrase and cut it out at 3″. I then added a slot for a 5″ x 7″ photo.
You could try more neutral colors, like red, black, and white and it would be adorable for a prom picture or something like that.
This cartridge has been out for a while, so I know you have some fun projects you can share. I would love to see your Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge ideas! Share them with me on our Facebook page! I can’t wait to see what you have created!
Happy creating!
