With so many fun new Cricut cartridges that have been released lately, I have had the opportunity to make some super fun layouts, cards, and home decor paper crafts! With that being said, I think my favorite so far this year is the 3D Floral Home Decor Cricut Cartridge! Mostly because I love to make flowers if you couldn’t tell from some of the crafts I have made. This cartridge reminds me a lot of the Giant Flowers Cricut cartridge, except that the flowers are giant in this one too, (well they can be depending on how large you make them). But like the old cartridge you know and love, you can create super fun 3D flowers with our quality colored cardstock.

Remember that having the right Cricut accessories will make your cutting project go much more smoothly.

Creating These Cards

Before I decided what I was going to make I had already cut out the 3D Poinsettia. The Poinsettia helps me get into the Christmas spirit, I don’t know if it’s the bright red flowers, or whatever, but I love the poinsettia. So I created a couple of these flowers and then had to decide what to do with them. Sometimes that’s the hard part for me. I fall in love with an image and then try to figure out what I’m going do with it. I had originally created these fun Notepad covers from Sizzix for a fall theme, which I still loved, but I thought how cute this flower would look on one of these. So I made another one! Be sure to check out our huge supply of Sizzix dies.

I used the Notepad Cover Sizzix Bigz L Die which perfectly fits a post-it note stack. It also comes with the rosette and a butterfly die. Then for the Christmas one, I used this new Cricut 3D Floral Home Décor cartridge and cut the poinsettia out at 4.75”, which gives me a little over a 2” flower.
